Gay Yellen

Gay Yellen's award-winning writing career began in magazine journalism. She later served as the contributing editor for the international thriller, Five Minutes to Midnight (Delacorte), which debuted as a New York Times "New & Notable." The success of that book led to her first solo mystery, The Body Business, Book 1 of the Samantha Newman Mystery Series. The Body Next Door soon followed. Book 3, The Body in the News, was released in 2023. The series has garnered a Gold Medal from the American Legacy Awards, was named a Readers’ Favorite Mystery, took a Chanticleer Mystery & Mayhem 1st Place, InD'Tale Crowned Heart for Excellence, and Finalist in Killer Nashville's Silver Falchion awards. Gay has survived a killer earthquake, a gun-wielding intruder, and an elephant's prodigious sneeze, which may explain why her writing is full of suspense, with a touch of irony and humor.
