Irene Essien-Akpan

I am an empathetic Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I graduated from Walden University. I care for patients across the life span; children from 6 years old to older adults. I specialize in caring for patients with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and substance use disorder. My approach to care is evidence-based. I combine talk therapy with medication management for best results At my first encounter with each patient, I strive to establish a therapeutic relationship with them. This therapeutic relationship helps every patient to be an active participant in their healing journey. At the end of every session, my clients feel and know that they are heard and cared for.
